Unbidan

The birds have migrated to the spring down South.

Evenings fall earlier yet it is exceptionally light in SUMit HQ./ The light has a cause. The try, right in front of the window, has been loped. I welcome the extra light with mixed feelings.

That try has given me pools of sorrow, waves of joy over the years. Joy, as it was the place to bill and coo for two turtle-doves. A sheer pleasure to watch. Sorrow as the try withheld me a fair share of scarce sunlight.

In dismay I stare at the chopped branches. The foliage, where the doves took shelter for their bill and coo, is now gone. The doves have left weeks ago. For the time being they won't even now it is gone. But what will happen in spring?

Will all birds have begun to build a nest, except for the two of them?
What to do next?

Will they look back at happier times, when love was such an easy game to play?
Will he start grumbling?
Will she go without saying a word?
Has he said something wrong?
Look for a place to hide away?

Yesterday

live, via bieslog.nl
Yesterday,
all my troubles seemed so far away
Now it looks as though they're here to stay
O I believe in Yesterday

Suddenly,
I'm not half the man I used to be
There is a shadow hanging over me
O Yesterday, came suddenly

Why she had to go
I don't know
She wouldn't say
I said something wrong
Now I long
for Yesterday

Yesterday,
love was such an easy game to play
Now I need a place to hide away
O I believe in Yesterday

Why she had to go
I don't know
she wouldn't say
I said something wrong
now I long
for Yesterday

Yesterday,
love was such an easy game to play
Now I need a place to hide away
O I believe in Yesterday
